Peach Blossom Day
Time: From March 26 to 30
Location: Taohuayuan Scenic Area in Taoyuan County,Changde City,Hunan Province
Brief Introduction: Taohuayuan (Peach Blossom Garden) is lacated 15 kilometers away from Taoyuan County,Changde City,bordering on Yuan River,consisting of Taoyuan Peaks and Peach Blossom mountain.This area has become known who the world for its beauty since 3 AD in the Jin Dynasty,The poet of East Jin Dynasty Tao yuanming wrote an essay "Taohuayuan",in which he described the secluded place of taoyuan far away from the noises of the human word.Taohuayuan later on took on the meaning of Utopia for hermit's place.Since then a lot of scholars of all dynasties went to visit the place.Every year the Peach Blossom Day is held here with a huge social gathering.
 
Memorial Ceremony at the Tomb of Yan Emperor
Time :August or September every year
Location: Yan Emperor's Tomb at Yanling County,Hhuzhou City,Hunan provice
Brief Introduction:Yan Emperor has always been regarded as the ancestor of the Chinese people.According to the historical records,Yan Emperor came to Hunan in his late life to pick herbs.He mistook a kind of posisonous plant that could break the intestines and died i Yanling County,Zhuzhou City.The tele built here is solemn and magnificentPilgrims from all over the world came to pay their tribute to their ancestor.Thus it is the Mecca for the off-spring of Yan and Huang Emperors.The incesnse smoke at the temple here is never interrupted.In 1992,Yan Emperor's Tomb was put at the top of the tourism programs for ancestor-seeking in China.
 
International Dragon Boat Festival
Time : Early June every year
Location: MIluo city ,Yueyang,Hunan
Brief Introduction: In Yueyang city of Hunan Province flows a famous river:Miluo River.It is the originating place of the dragon boat race.In 278BC,the partiotic poet Qu Yuan who witnessed the declining of the State cChu and found no way to achieve his ambition to contribut for his land ,on May 5(lunar calender) jumped into Miluo River in despair.Hearing the shocking news,the residents on the two bands of the Biver ran to his rescue by rowing their own boats hurriedly.form that year on ,people held a grand boat race on the river in memory of his world famous scholar and great patriot .In 1991 and 1992 ,with the presence of the overseas form more than 10 coutries and regions as well as merchants and tourists,Chinaheld two International Dragon Boat Festivals here,The festival has received favorable comment for its colorfjl activities and good organization.The boat race is held on South Lake in Yueyang.Before the race starts,a memorial ceremony is held at Qu Yuan Temple on the band of Miluo River.
 
Hunan International Fireworks Festival
time:Late September every year
Location:Changsha City
Brief Introduction:Hunan is one of the earliest places in China that produced fireworks.The history cna be traced back to Tang and Song Dynasties.In August ,1986,Hunan's firworks won a gold medal.in the 4thWorld Fireworks Competition held in Monaco.The Firworks Festival is held every old year in Changsha .If the tourists want to enjoy fireworks in their leisure time,welcome to go to the neighboring city ,Liuyang ,home of fireworks,and watch the fantastic fireworks on every night from June to October.
 
Inernational Rafting Month on Mengdong River

Location:Yongshun county ,Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Minorities Autonomous Region in Hunan provice
Brief Introduction:Mengdong River has a very narrow river vourse,thus resulting in very swift currents.Rafting on the river waves gives you a lot shocks and delight but no risks.The scenery on the two sides of the river is pleasing to the eye and mind,full of the primitive beauty.At the lower stream on the side of Youshui River lies the ancient Lotus Town.during the period of International Rafting Month,Tujia minority performances and their folklore will also bring you an unforgetable experience.
 
International Forest Festival in Zhangjiajie,Hunan,China.

Brief Introduction:In the northwest of Hunan Province lies the largest national forest park of China:Zhangjiajie.Green vegetation has covered more than 97% of the area .The grotesque forested peaks and precious species of plants such as Davidia involucrata,gingko,red wood form a harmonios picture,with the monkeys playing mischievously on the tree branches and the streams murmuring between the peaks.Hunan provincial Government holds on a regular basis the International Forest Festival in Zhangjiajie at the end of autumn and the beginning of winter.During that festival hill-climbing ,forest bathing,rafting and adventurous exploration in karst caves are open to you choices.
 
Temple Fair at Nanyue Mountain

Location:Nanyue district,Hengyang City,Hunan
Brief Introduction:Nanyue Heng Mountain is one of the five most famous mountains in China.Its buddhist and Daoist history can be traced back to a very long time ago. The place is distinguished by its special religious culture.The annual temple fair is held here,integrating traditional culture,local arts and athletic games and commodity fair.
